The brave Parakeet

I saw it wrestling with the leaves,
I fear’d for it;
I climb not, neither did my bold emotive voice did any good,
It was brave, it kept going up a limb on my tamarind tree,
but the wind show- poco- mercy.

It creat’d a scen’ry on a well taken photograph of birds and nature;
but this bird was way too scar’d to depict the image of courageous solitude,
I stood still and watch it flaunt its wings as if it was saying “come get me!” -pero-
cage birds tell no tal’s only by valor.

O’ NO!

Falling to the ground like Gallic troops in battle, shock’d and dismay’d

what just happen’d?

Turn’d around only to see my uncle with a sling-

“have you seen my parakeet?”
-O’ it may have went west.
