I write,
In silence and in speech,
I sing—off-key, but free,
In simple walks, I find my reach.
Avoiding conflict, seeking peace,
Through words, diplomacy I preach.
Not every battle finds its cease,
In conversation or in peace.
When I sing, to the Lord I reach,
In prayer, my thoughts, to Him, I leech.
He knows best, in Him, comfort I beseech,
In His embrace, my fears release.
Choosing peace over war’s increase,
In harmony, my soul’s release.
